Liferaft Hire
Liferafts
We supply for hire 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 person offshore liferafts with CO2 gas inflation. All liferafts have double buoyancy chambers, self-erecting arch supports with blaze orange canopy. Most liferafts have inflatable floors.
Liferafts with solas B packs are available for hire in sizes 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 person. The shortest hire period for these liferafts is six months. Liferafts to ISO9650 standard are available.

Liferaft Contents
Offshore: bailer, drogue, instruction card, leak stoppers, pump, paddles, repair kit, safety knife, seasick tablets, torch, signal card, sponges, quoit and line, whistle, 3 red hand flares.
Solas B Pack: includes all of the above plus first aid kit, spare sea anchor, inflatable radar reflector, 2 thermal protective aids, heliograph, 2 parachute rockets, one buoyant orange smoke signal.
Delivery and Collection
Equipment hired can be delivered and collected in East Anglia, Kent and along the south coast from Brighton to Poole. This does not include central London. For other areas of the UK mainland, carriage will be charged at cost. If returning a liferaft by road carrier, please ensure the liferaft painter line is securely taped down and the liferaft is boxed.
Reservations
To reserve a liferaft, or any other safety equipment, please email us on liferafts@suffolk-sailing.freeserve.co.uk, or call 01473 833010. Orders taken by telephone will be confirmed by a copy of the booking form made out at the time of your call being sent to you.
Payments and Deposits
Payment can be made a the time of booking, or an invoice will be sent to you 21 days prior to the start of the hire. Payment must have been made before delivery of the liferaft. For payment by card, the card will be debited 3 days before the hire commences. No refunds will be given for liferafts returned early from hire. A deposit may be required from hirers who are taking a liferaft or other safety equipment outside the area Brest to Elbe. The deposit is fully refundable on return of the liferaft to Suffolk Sailing providing it is in good condition and no damage to the liferaft has been incurred.
