Telescopic IOR Dan buoy, with orange floats

Manufactured to IOR requirements for offshore racing, this Dan buoy provides rugged dependability.
Telescopic fibreglass Dan buoy supplied with :
- 2 cylindrical floatation buoys filled with coated polystyrene closed cell foam.
- Top floatation buoy : height 250 mm, Ø 116 mm.
- Low floatation buoy : height 250 mm, Ø 83 mm.
- 1 neon orange flag 450 x 350 mm.
- 8 m of floating rope to attach to horseshoe lifebuoy.
- 1 st. steel ballast.
To obtain a Dan buoy with light, simply add the optional light kit. When fitted, light is situated 2 m above waterline.
Powered by a 9 V battery.
Lanyard must be attached to magnetic clip on light and also to a fixed point on the yacht. When the Dan buoy is thrown into the water, the lanyard detaches the clip from the light, which then lights up. Light will only activate when removed from its clip. When light is correctly replaced in the clip, it will go out.
To fit the light to the Dan buoy, push bayonet fitting into top of Dan buoy. No rivets/screws required.

Inflatable IOR Dan buoy

Canister : Dan buoy + 1 drogue + 1 water-activated light
Composed of 2 different elements :
- holder fixed on the boat's pushpit.
- ABS plastic canister containing the IOR Dan buoy or horseshoe buoy.
The canister is attached to the holder by a lanyard.
In the event of a man overboard, throw the canister towards the victim.
Deployment will occur when lanyard is fully tensioned.
Dan buoy : Yellow nylon, polyurethane coated

Dan buoy is weighted and equipped with :
- 1 drogue
- 1 water-activated light
